I spent a considerable part of my life writing and playing computer games. I wrote a pacman game on the ZX81 when I was nine years old; staring at its flickering black and white screen made me see everything yellow as pink for three days in a row. Happy days. I blissed my way through my school-days in true geek fashion writing small games for my own entertainment. I was sure one day I'd get the chance to operate on a larger scale, and that chance came in the form of newly-formed company Particle Systems. Although I applied as an artist, I was brought on board as a C Programmer and AI specialist ( somewhere along the route I'd picked up a degree in cognitive science - you know how these things happen ) and worked on the ground-breaking space-sim, Independence War. I stayed in the industry for a few more titles, before shifting away to pursue more artistic endevours. But times change, and my involvement in a handful of small 2D games has re-ignited my interest, and I find that I would like to return as a 3D artist. The technology has reached the point where it can do the artistic vision justice. Good. Forward the future.
